Last Sunday we drove our travel rig over to the Palm Springs TTN Resort. We will go back to Jojoba next Sunday morning. It is get-away time, and the weather so far has been very cooperative.
Just a note to remind ourselves: we are due back next Monday for dog-sitting then several medical appointments. I will be having laser surgery to help control my gluacoma, then the next week I see Dr Wood, hopefully for a release to travel.
Alice and I spent some time considering where we should travel this next summer, and Alice voted for spending 3 weeks in a TTN resort then moving on to the nearest next one. It would be an inexpensive way to waste away the summer. I made reservations for 2/12-28 at Pio Pico to start the process, but that schedule is subject to change.
After watching the inauguration, we went over to have dinner with Janet (sister) and Michael. Michael's sister Nina was also there, and we had a great time. Their house remodel is mostly done, and it is a great improvement to their home.
I had received an offer for my Grady County mineral rights, but Janet said I should keep them. There is activity in the area drilling for gas, and she expects there to be some reward soon. Hope so; I am passing up a $12K opportunity. Time will tell.
Alice did some checking on the Internet about her lansoprazole prescription and found Humana would cover very little of its cost. We save $150 over the year if we purchase it over the counter at Costco.
My INR was 2.1 on Wednesday, even after eating salad at Janet's, so that remains under control.
I got an email from Randy Seaborg (neighborhood kids from 1961 in Walnut Creek). He and his sister want to visit. They came by on Thursday and we had a great time reminising about the other neighbors from 50 years ago.
I talked with Kelly about the LED business, and he should be sending me some product and information to review. I responded that I would consider doing websites and internet sales for him (subject to some specific help). I await his response. If it works out, we may need to visit Mesa before Pio Pico, and I would have something to keep me awake during the summer.
So, it is supposed to rain tomorrow and we are just lounging around. We walk the dogs several times a day, but we should get more exercise.
That's it for the time being. sam
