I am writing a book of short stories and publishing them on the Phoenix of Memphis blog, one short story every week or so. This is the story of the recovery of Memphis after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake on the New Madrid Fault.
I just posted another story about the start of the earthquake entitled Neighborhood Watch. It tells why some things you do now matter on keeping your neighborhood safe in the event of an earthquake, things like being able to turn the gas line off, tying your heavy furniture to the walls, etc.
